My expressive paintings capture the movement and spontaneity of the nature in southern Alberta nad Washington state. I reflect the beauty I see in landscapes by simplifying the objects to capture the colour, values and shadows that exist in nature which change over the days and seasons.

Joyce began drawing as a child and has worked continuously since then through different mediums to focus on acrylic painting. Her formal education includes a study with Elaine de Kooning at the University of Washington, and a Graphic Design course and the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. She has continued to grow through workshops in Canada and the US.
